It seems a bit absurd that the creators of PDF don't have any way to output a RH10 project directly to a PDF without using Word. Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't get why the resulting PDF ALWAYS has a screwed up TOC. It doesn't recognize the bookmarks as does HTMLhelp or WebHelp. (My source docs are HTMs for all projects)

Opening project from Version Control -- need more efficient navigation path

When we open a project from Version Control (in Team Foundation Server), we perform the following steps:
- Navigate to the Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider
- Connect to a TFS Server
- Choose the folder in TFS, which requires 6-7 clicks through the folder tree.
Is there a way in RoboHelp to 'remember' the location of the XPJ in Source Control so that we don't have to repeat the eight clicks each time?

Table of Contents not displaying in IE for Merged Projects in RoboHelp 11
I have created merged projects in RoboHelp 11. The table of contents and the Start page display OK in Firefox and Chrome, but in Internet Explorer version 11, the table of contents does not display, and the message "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or Active X controls" is shown. Clicking "Allow blocked content" enables the Start page to be displayed, but the table of contents is not shown. If you refresh the page in Internet Explorer, everything is displayed without any problems. Can anyone suggest a fix for this please? Is it possible to refresh the page automatically perhaps? Thanks for any suggestions.

Using Robohelp with Clearcase

I am a techical writer working in India. I need a solution to use Robohelp effectively and efficiently with Clearcase.
We are using Robohelp X7 for authoring the docs and using clearcase as the repository...However, the manner in which we are using now is very unfriendly (hijacking the files from clearcase and then checking-in through the clearcase explorer)...Why can't we just use clearcase the way developers do using Eclipse or other IDEs.
Robohelp even provides controls to use the source control options. But for some very strange reason they do not work with Robohelp (they work with VSS).
If you know of a plugin or some utility that can enable this , kindly share it...

Building Native Mobile App for Android: error message, build fail
Hi,
I'm trying RH10 on a Win 8 x64 system, trying to get the generate for mobile devices, Android to work. I've installed the Android SDK (part of the complete ADT) in a "Development" folder in the C drive, installed JDK for Win 64, added the PhoneGap and ANT unzipped folders to the "Development" folder and then in the RH10 dialog to generate the Android APK, I've pointed set the correct paths to these tools. (All installed tools are correct for my OS, Win 8 x64.)
No matter what I try, using a sample file (EmployeeCare, Salesbuilder), I get an error message at the very end of the build process. Please see the screenshot showing the error message and the relevant part of the log which looks like the ANT path is not working correctly. The build fails every time. I've tried to do some troubleshooting online and for example, came across setting the environment variables for the ANT folder, which I did, but with no success in fixing the problem. The Eclipse installation connects with the JDK and runs OK if I simply boot it up.
My path settings are in a second screenshot below.
(I've tried the ANT path with different values, for example "C:\Development\apache-ant-1.9.0-bin" etc. Doesn't prevent error message and build failure.)
I am not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated. At this point, I would be happy to simply be able to build one APK then test it on an Android device.

Robohelp 10 crashes when updating linked Frame 11 files
I recently upgraded from TCS 3 to 4 and this project worked fine before the upgrade.
Whenever I update the book linked to RoboHelp, it crashes and I receive an "Adobe RoboHelp 10 has stopped working message" (below).
If I update individual files in the book, RoboHelp does not seem to have a problem with files that do not have many linked images.
I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise. 8 GB RAM. The source control for the Frame files is Documentum, so they reside locally on my PC at C:\Users\user.name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\Documentum\<connection_name>\<reposit ory>\

Show/hide font icons within RoboHelp 2015 HTML5
I have begun to use javascript within my RoboHelp 2015 for font awesome font icons. I want to use the plus and minus icons to show and hide content. Unfortunately I am struggling with adding the script while using the RoboHelp DHTML dropdown text functionality.
The html script was suggested to me, but it does not use the robohelp dropdown html coding.'
Anyone have suggestions on how to make it work? Any help is much appreciated!

Generate PDF Output Uses Wrong TOC
Hi, all. I'm using RH 11 in a Win 7 environment.
My project has two TOCs, one huge and one small. I want to generate a PDF for the small one.
In the Project Manager, I selected the smaller TOC and designated it the Defaul. Still, when I select Generate/PDF Output, I get a PDF for the immense TOC.
What am I missing?

Publishing not working
I'm sure ths is a dumb question and I'm going to kick myself
when someone posts a simple explanation, but my project suddenly
refuses to publish to my server. The primary layout is webhelp and
I haven't changed anything in the publish dialogue (e.g.the server
name is checked.). It generates without any problem, but nothing
happens when I click 'Publish': no error message, nothing.

How are you ? I am a newbie at using Robohelp. Our company just purchsed Robohelp licenses and I was trying to pickup this tool. I could create the html help file with TOC and Index. Search works great but what's baffling me is that the Search results don't highlight the search word.
I tried to Google it but it brought that you had to right some JS to highlight and add it to ALL help pages onload(). But , it said that V7 had these feature out of the box...I tried looking but couldn't find it .
Can someone please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

RH 11 cmd line: Error: Failed to scan all the project files. Unexpected Error: Failed to prepare single source
Hi,
I am running RH 11 (installed in Program Files x86) on a Win 7 (64 bit) machine. I have just created a brand new project with a lot of folders/subfolders and only one Welcome topic. This project compiles just fine using the RoboHelp GUI. However, when I run RHCL from the command prompt, it refuses to run.
Here are the details of the command and results:

Reinstall or Add RSC to Existing
Hi Folks,
We have Technical Communications Suite 2 that we installed without Robosource Control, and were using Visual Source Safe. Well, we now want to switch to Robosource Control.
Here are the questions:
- Is there anyway to install Robosource Control on the server without uninstalling Robohelp?
- Is there any way to install Robosource client without having to first uninstall and then reinstall the entire suite or Robohelp instance?

Need help for style not displaying correctly in chm
I’m using RoboHelp HTML version 8. RH8 is dropping a style from my stylesheet. The style appears to be applied correctly when I view a topic (the HTML file) directly with either IE or Firefox browser, and it appears correctly when I view the topic with the “Item View” feature in RH8 (the eyeglasses icon). However, in the compiled HTML help output from RH, the style is not correct. The style in question is a class of style (“desc” for descriptions) for a subset of table data. The “desc” class should have the data in the cell left justified, and the cell width should be 50%. The main parent style for table data (centered text, cell width varies) seems to be applied instead, and the child style for descriptions is not applied. Below I've included a screen shot of a table page as it looks in Item Viewer, then the same page as it appears in the CHM, and finally the style sheet in its original state before being added to RH.
Here are things I’ve checked for:
· The project is large, with over 6300 topics and a compiled chm of 5560 KB. RH crashes when I try to apply style sheets or master pages to multiple topics from the Topic List. However, I created a much smaller test project with 122 topics and still get the dropped style.
· The style sheets were created outside of RH, and are also used for presenting the same content over the web outside of RH. The styles display fine in the other context through a browser. I have not modified the style sheet in RH, but I have opened it in RH. I’ve also tried deleting and re-copying the style sheet into the project.
· There is another set of styles applying to the tables, for table rows. There is a “tr” class for the heading and classes for rotating background colors. These child styles appear correct with no problems. Every row in a table belongs to a child class of row styles. In the case of table data styles, most cells require the parent “td” style and only a subclass require the child “desc” style. It’s the “desc” style that isn’t showing up in the chm. Is this a clue?
· Multiple style sheets per topic. Apparently only one style sheet can be used per topic. In my project, I have two types of topics, called schema pages and table pages, with a style sheet for each. The same master page is used for both types. The master page uses the tables style sheet. Therefore, the tables topics (the ones with the dropped style) use only one style sheet, but it is specified in both the master page and the topic itself. Is this a problem?
· Reviewing the style sheet in RH. When I inspect the style sheet through RH’s Project Manager, the table data and table row styles appear under “Other” and not under “Table.” Is this a clue?
The special formatting of the description cells in our table-heavy project is essential. I’ve spend days trying to troubleshoot this problem and would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I am trying to publish webhelp to sharepoint link. It generates webhelp but stops while publishing it with a message "Publishing has been cancelled. The parameter is incorrect." Not sure what is the issue in this as it doesnt have any details on it? Please help.

Published Projects in RoboHelp 7 Generate Large Quantities of Windows/Temp Files When Open
After publishing a project in RoboHelp 7 WebHelp Pro and then
opening the project from the web server, RoboHelp generates
hundreds of RHS*.tmp files in the Windows/Temp directory. This
causes a Protcol host error which crashes RoboHelp. Any ideas on
what is causing this?

Passing search parameters into HTML5 webhelp
Our product requires that our online help can be kicked off when the user enters a search term into the search box integrated into the product itself. This action should launch the help package, displaying the search results (the same as if the search string had been entered into the help package's search box). We were able to do this with webhelp but now want to move to HTML5 help. Can anyone suggest how we go about passing the inputted search parameters into HTML5, please?
